The Heart Center in Hohenlohe-Franken, Germany recently donated a lifesaving HeartSine Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to the Albert-Schweitzer Children’s Village in Waldenburg, an organization that offers permanent homes and foster care to children who cannot remain with their birth parents for various reasons.
The donation was part of a “safety-at-home-for-you” campaign, an initiative that raises awareness to the importance of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), a condition in which the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating. SCA happens to people of all ages, including children, and it’s often fatal if not treated within minutes.
The AED was installed by HeartSine German distributor, MedX5.
